  • Halal Certificate Guarantees Consumers Can Enjoy Point Coffee Without Hesitating

Now, coffee lovers no longer need to hesitate to consume all Point Coffee products. This is because Point Coffee received a halal certificate with the number ID00410005947680723 from the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) on July 20, 2023. The ceremonial event for handing over the halal certification was held on August 7, 2023, at Point Coffee Ruko Island, Pantai Indah Kapuk.

Dr. Ir. Sugiarto, M.Si, as the management representative of LPPOM MUI, appreciated the commitment and efforts of the Point Coffee team in obtaining halal certificates. According to him, this was only possible to achieve with all the dedication and hard work of management and the entire company team to continue to maintain the consistency of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) that has been implemented.

“Halal certification means that Point Coffee has fulfilled two things—first, compliance with mandatory regulations for halal certification in Indonesia. Second, fulfill consumer rights because halal for Muslim consumers is a right that producers must fulfill. We are also grateful for choosing LPPOM MUI as a partner for the Halal Inspection Body (LPH) for Point Coffee,” said Sugiarto.

Hj. Siti Aminah, M.Pd.I, the Head of the BPJPH Halal Registration and Certification Center, expressed her appreciation for achieving the Point Coffee Halal certificate; her party realized this was a challenging journey. Consistency in maintaining product halalness significantly affects existing products because this is part of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH).

“Of course, this is not an easy journey. However, with all the commitment and cooperation of various parties, a halal certificate can be achieved. We hope that the company can continue to maintain the consistency of the SJPH that has been implemented. Congratulations on this achievement; hopefully, this will bring blessings and can penetrate the international market,” said Aminah.

Meanwhile, Point Coffee Senior Manager Henry Ong thanked BPJPH and LPPOM MUI for their collaboration during the halal certification process. Through halal certification, Point Coffee can fulfill customer satisfaction and needs in terms of product halalness.

“We are committed to ensuring the halal products that Point Coffee offers consumers. Now, the delicacy of all Point Coffee products in 1,200 outlets and spread across more than 120 cities/regencies can be enjoyed safely and comfortably,” said Henry.

The Halal certificate is concrete proof that Point Coffee products have been produced according to strict halal standards, giving customers more confidence regarding product quality and integrity. Since March 2023, Point Coffee has carried out a series of halal certification processes. Starting from implementing SJPH to going through an audit process by LPPOM MUI, which acts as the Halal Inspection Agency. (YN/ZUL)
