Minister of Trade Supports Local Go International Franchise through FLEI

Officially opened on Friday, November 18, 2022, the 19th Edition FLEI EXPO was attended by the Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, and several representatives from Ministry agencies to the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta.

Jakarta, coinciding on Friday, November 18, 2022, located at the Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, the opening and inauguration of the Largest Franchise and License Exhibition in Indonesia, the 19th Edition FLEI Expo took place smoothly and lively. According to the organizers, one of the goals of holding this exhibition is to support MSMEs to develop without limits to Go International.

Indonesian Minister of Trade, DR. (HC). Zulkifli Hasan, SE, MM, known as Zulhas, was present at the opening with the theme “Limitless Opportunities.” According to him, Indonesia is still growing even though the world is in this condition. In Q3, the Indonesian economy grew by 5.72%. Our exports had a surplus of around USD 40 billion.

“This is positive news due to joint hard work for which we should be grateful. FLEI Expo is a forum for collaborative collaboration because it involves all aspects of the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, KADIN, WALI, Panorama Media and business people who have contributed greatly to Indonesia’s current economic growth,” Zulhas explained.

He said that franchising is overgrowing, and this country must be confident because it is rich in young entrepreneurs with creative food, drinks, and exciting products. Zulhas also took the example of Alfamart’s success, which, this time, was one of the exhibitors at FLEI XIX.

“Alfamart is an example of proving that it has succeeded in going international with branch outlets in the Philippines. Of course, we must remain superior domestically, but we must also start to dare to expand our business abroad. I believe we will succeed in breaking through it because we have all the potential and requirements,” said Zulhas.

The Ministry of Trade also encourages business people to penetrate the world market. According to the government’s target, this is one of the big missions to make Indonesia successful in becoming a developed country in 2045. If we cannot expand and compete in the world market, we cannot become a developed country in 2045.

“I leave a message so that all parties related to FLEI, namely KADIN, WALI and Panorama Media, can become a vehicle for the success of the program and don’t forget to reach business people in remote parts of Indonesia whose products are no less interesting than products in other cities. Big. I believe, with franchising, the economy will be even more glorious,” said Zulhas.

The inauguration ceremony of the 19th Edition of the FLEI Expo was carried out symbolically by striking the gong by the Minister of Trade, Zulfikli Hasan, who was accompanied by all agencies and several honored guests who attended. The beating of the gong signifies that the Biggest Franchise, License, Business Opportunity, and Partnership Exhibition in Indonesia, FLEI EXPO XIX 2022 International is officially open.
