The President Director of LPPOM MUI, Ir. Muti Arintawati, M.Si, appreciated the commitment and efforts of the Lawson Indonesia team in obtaining a halal certificate. Of course, this is a challenging journey. According to him, this was only possible with all the commitment and hard work of management and the entire company team to maintain the consistency of the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) that has been implemented.
According to her, Lawson Indonesia has fulfilled two (2) things with its halal certification. Namely, the first has complied with regulations and fulfilled the obligations of halal certification in Indonesia. The second is fulfilling consumer rights because halal for Muslim consumers is a right that must be fulfilled by producers who provide products that will be consumed by the majority of Indonesian people who are Muslims.
“Lawson’s halal certification process is the fastest, alhamdulillah Lawson was able to meet the halal certification target, and Lawson Indonesia has proven it to us, and we are grateful for being chosen by LPPOM MUI as a partner for the Halal Inspection Body (LPH) for Lawson Indonesia,” said Muti.
The success of the final achievement of issuing a halal certificate and the process being carried out is shortened, is a long journey, and also requires hard work. The halal certification process will be easy if the company has good preparation supported by management policies that have strong policies and commitment.
Meanwhile, according to the President Director of Lawson Indonesia, Madi Maruf, Lawson has officially held the halal label, which is recognized by the authorities appointed by the state, namely the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and The Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs, and Cosmetics Indonesian Council of Ulama (LPPOM MUI) as the Halal Inspection Body.
“Alhamdulillah, our halal products are now certified by the state-appointed authority agency BPJPH, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. Lawson has long been concerned about compliance with halal standards for all its products. This is to provide convenience for our consumers,” said Madi.
Madi explained that the halal certificate obtained by Lawson Indonesia was not for fun or style; the existence of a halal certification is the highest form of commitment and promise from Lawson Indonesia to the Indonesian Muslim community to serve halal products.
Obtaining a halal certificate gives complete trust and comfort to Lawson customers. “Thank you to BPJPH, LPPOM MUI, and Lawson’s loyal customers, who are still with us and are our passion always to maintain our commitment to providing halal and quality products suitable for consumption for the community.” Said Madi (ZUL)
