  • With Halal Certificate, SunnyGold Is Ready to Penetrate The First Export to Japan

The corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is still ongoing. Even so, every sector must be eager to continue to move for the betterment of the nation and state. In this case, PT Malindo Food Delight, a subsidiary of PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk, is taking concrete steps.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. H. Syahrul Yasin Limpo, S.H, M.Si, M.H. at the Inaugural Export of Processed Products under the SunnyGold Brand to Japan on September 1, 2020, in Komp. Greenland International Industrial, Cikarang, West Java.

"Many countries have deteriorating economic growth, even reaching minus ten percent. With the various potentials that Indonesia has, we should be able to take a stand and continue to move in the midst of this pandemic," he said.

As done by PT Malindo Food Delight, continued Syahrul. By using technology, high hygiene, and also guaranteed halalness, this is an important capital to win the trust of the public in order to choose SunnyGold for consumption by the people of Indonesia, and even the world.

More than that, this proves that Indonesia has good livestock and high-quality industries. The success of PT Malindo Food Delight exports to Japan is expected to be a race for other companies to continue to develop the market into the global realm.

In addition, Syahrul said that the Indonesian government strongly supports the export of products to other countries, especially Muslim countries such as in the Middle East. This is considered to be a greater opportunity because there are already many products in Indonesia that are certified halal. This means that the product is guaranteed to be safe and halal.

"We encourage Indonesian products that have been certified halal to be exported to Middle Eastern countries. This is because the product has been guaranteed halal and food safety. This is a selling point and a standard that will be taken into account for Muslim countries," he explained.

In a different event, the Director of the Institute for the Study of Food, Medicines, and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI) Dr. Ir. Lukmanul Hakim, M.Si said that halal certificates are one of the entrances for products to the global market.

In 2017 LPPOM MUI obtained SNI ISO / IEC 17065: 2012 Accreditation. In addition, the HALAL LAB LPPOM MUI has obtained SNI ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN).

"Not only at the national level, LPPOM MUI has also been accredited by the Emirate Authorty for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) with UAE standards 2055:2-2016. Thus, products that have been determined to be halal MUI can be marketed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)," explained Lukman.

This, which goes hand in hand with the principle of Highest Quality Halal Food, is the capital for PT Malindo Food Delight to advance into the global realm.

"With the various certificates we have obtained, our products are ready to compete in the global arena. Today's exports are an impetus for us to be motivated to continue to look for export markets in other countries," said Rewin. (YN)99
