The role and potential of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) are known to be very important for the national economic recovery, especially after the pandemic-effect that affects economic development in Indonesia. MSEs need support from the government and related institutions or agencies to add competitiveness and added value to MSE products, one of which is by halal product certification.
In order to support the program to increase the competitiveness and added value of MSEs, LPPOM MUI this year again held the LPPOM MUI 1443 H Syawal Festival which took place from 9 to 31 May 2022. The Syawal Festival is a form of LPPOM MUI’s commitment to continue to support the government in increasing the number of indonesian halal product production, which is expected to compete in the global arena in the future.
This year, the Syawal Festival includes a series of activities, including facilitation of free halal certification and technical guidance to a number of selected MSEs from all provinces in Indonesia, webinars on halal certification for the general public, as well as training of trainers (ToT) to a number of halal da’wah cadres from the community and halal influencers.
To celebrate the success of the Syawal 1443 H Festival, LPPOM MUI held a closing ceremony as well as a halal webinar “Recover Together, Recover Stronger with UMK Halal” on:
