Solidaritas untuk Sumatera: BPJPH & Alfamart Kirim Bantuan, LPPOM Galang Donasi

A wave of solidarity was felt again when BPJPH, along with Alfamart and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), moved quickly to send aid to disaster-stricken areas in Sumatra, while LPPOM also raised donations separately. This collaborative action demonstrates that caring and working together can bring hope in the midst of emergencies.

The Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), together with the Alfamart retail chain, officially dispatched 10 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to victims of floods and landslides that hit various areas in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra today. All of the aid departed from Jakarta and will be flown by Hercules aircraft through Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), to ensure rapid distribution to affected areas.

As reported on the BPJPH’s official website, the Head of BPJPH, Ahmad Haikal Hasan, emphasized that this shipment demonstrates a rapid response and concern for communities affected by the major disaster in Sumatra.

“Today, we will send aid for our brothers and sisters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra to areas affected by floods and landslides using a Hercules aircraft in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) via Halim Perdanakusuma Airport,” said the Head of the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), Ahmad Haikal Hasan, while seeing off the fleet carrying logistical aid from Cikokol, Tangerang, to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, this afternoon, Friday (December 5, 2025).

The aid dispatch ceremony was also attended by Alfamart Founder Djoko Susanto; Deputy for JPH Development and Supervision E.A. Chuzaemi Abidin; Deputy for Partnership and Halal Standardization Abd Syakur; Alfamart Corporate Affairs Director Solihin; Head of the Legal Bureau, Human Resources and Public Relations Indrayani; and Expert Staff to the Head of BPJPH M. Fariza Y. Irawadi.

On this occasion, Haikal Hasan expressed his gratitude to Alfamart for their significant initiative in assisting the affected communities. “We express our appreciation to Mr. Joko and Mr. Solihin, who are extraordinary. They wanted to distribute aid but were hampered by access. Thank God, today we were able to send it directly to Aceh,” he explained.

Alfamart’s Corporate Affairs Director, Solihin, also expressed his appreciation for the synergy with the BPJPH, which facilitated the aid distribution process. “Thank you to Babe Haikal from BPJPH for accepting and assisting with the delivery and distribution of this aid. Many people want to donate, but not everyone has the ability to deliver it to the disaster area,” he said.

He added that he hoped this collaboration would provide broad benefits and become a source of goodness for all involved. “Hopefully, what we do today will be beneficial, and Allah will make it a reward for us all,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Development and Supervision of JPH at BPJPH, E.A. Chuzaemi Abidin, confirmed that the entire process of handing over and delivering the aid went smoothly. The collaboration between BPJPH, Alfamart, and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) is a crucial step in expediting aid to disaster-affected areas in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

In addition, the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) distributed aid through BPJPH Peduli (BPJPH Cares) to communities affected by floods and landslides in Aceh Tamiang and Pidie Jaya. The aid, worth Rp 500 million, was handed over by BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan to Aceh Province’s Regional Secretary, M. Nasir. The aid was handed over in the Potda Room of the Aceh Provincial Governor’s Office, coinciding with the House of Representatives Commission VIII’s recess working visit with the heads of ministries and institutions on December 10, 2025.

In line with the efforts of BPJPH and Alfamart, the Halal Inspection Body (LPH) of The Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs and Cosmetics (LPPOM) is also raising funds for communities affected by the major disaster in Sumatra. Donations collected from the LPPOM family will be immediately distributed to help meet the needs of residents directly affected by the disaster.

“As part of the national halal ecosystem, LPPOM feels compelled to help ease the burden on our brothers and sisters in Sumatra. The donations we have collected from the entire LPPOM family are a manifestation of our concern and moral responsibility to be present among the community facing this disaster,” said Raafqi Ranasasmita, Corporate Secretary of LPPOM. This collective effort is expected not only to be a short-term humanitarian response but also to strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation as a national strength in facing various challenges. Every act of kindness performed today brings tangible benefits to the survivors and becomes a continuing act of charity for all parties involved. (YN)
