Bogor – Still in the Indhex 2019 series, LPPOM MUI held a Seminar on Selection of Cleanliness Validation Techniques according to HAS 23000. This seminar was held on November 14, 2019 at IPB International Convention Center, Bogor. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Nancy Yuliana, M.Sc, discussed three specific topics.

The first topic related to the Requirements for Fulfillment of Facility Criteria based on HAS 23000 was delivered by Dr. Ir. Muslich, M.Sc (Head of Standard Division of LPPOM MUI).

Muslich explained that unclean was divided into three types, namely mild, severe, and moderate. Each type has a different way of purification. But unfortunately, there are still many cases of media validation.

“Common cases we find in the field, including companies not realizing that the validation media used are not unclean free and validation is done by other parties who use non-unclean media,” said Muslich.

Other topics also discussed in this seminar were Microbial Validation Techniques and Identification of Opportunities for Hygiene Validation Material Containing Pigs and Impurity by Prof. Dr. Ir. Betty Sri Laksmi Jennie MS (Food Hygiene Industry Expert) as well as Engineering, Equipment and Media related to Hygiene Validation that Meets Objection Standards by Devi Remiyanti, M.Sc (PT Merck Chemicals and Life Sciences).

The three speakers agreed that the food industry must be produced safely and with clean equipment. With the right purification or cleaning will be able to control the danger brought by materials and media in the production process. (YN)
