Ramadhan is a reminder for all of us about the importance of solidarity and social concern. LPPOM strives to provide benefits beyond the BPJPH halal certification process. Coinciding with this, LPPOM Riau distributed 50 food packages to the dhuafa in Pekanbaru City, Riau. This is proof of LPPOM’s mission, which is not just doing business but bringing benefits to the community.
The holy month of Ramadhan is always a special moment for Muslims worldwide. In addition to increasing worship, Ramadhan is a golden opportunity to strengthen social solidarity through various acts of kindness. One form of this concern is sharing with those in need, as done by the Riau Province LPPOM Halal Inspection Body.
In order to welcome this blessed month, LPPOM Riau distributed 50 food packages to the dhuafa in Pekanbaru City, Riau on March 5-11. The packages contain various necessities expected to ease the burden of the underprivileged during the fasting month.
The Director of LPH LPPOM Riau Province, Dr. Sofia Anita, M.Sc., said that this sharing activity is a form of gratitude for the opportunity to meet again in the holy month of Ramadhan. She emphasized that this social action has become a routine agenda that is always carried out every year.
“This activity is a form of our gratitude for the opportunity to meet again in the Holy Month of Ramadhan. The distribution of these basic food packages has become a routine activity that we carry out every time we enter the holy month of Ramadan,” said Dr. Sofia.
Furthermore, she added that the Sharing Blessings of Ramadhan activity is expected to have a positive impact, not only for the beneficiaries but also for all parties involved in this act of kindness.
“We hope that this activity can inspire more people to share, not only in the month of Ramadhan but also in other months. May Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala always make it easy and bless our every step,” she added.
One of the aid recipients, Mrs. Ilmayusneti, could not hide her emotion when receiving the basic food package from LPPOM Riau. According to her, this assistance is not just a form of material kindness but also an encouragement for her and her family to continue struggling under challenging conditions.
“Alhamdulillah, this assistance means a lot to us. Not only does it help meet our daily needs, but it also gives us hope and new enthusiasm to continue to survive and try to do better,” she said with gratitude.
LPPOM Riau emphasized its commitment to spreading benefits and expanding this sharing program’s scope in the coming years. With more parties involved, it is hoped that the number of beneficiaries can also increase, reaching more poor people in various areas in need.
“We want this spirit of caring to continue and become part of the culture of sharing in society. God willing, in the future we will develop this program so that more people can feel the joy of sharing,” said Dr. Sofia.
The month of Ramadhan reminds us all about the importance of solidarity and social concern. Through this activity, LPPOM Riau wants to inspire more parties to participate in real actions that benefit others.
With the spirit of sharing that continues to be fostered, it is hoped that more people will realize that goodness is not just an obligation but also a real manifestation of humanity and faith. LPPOM Riau is committed to being a pioneer in encouraging sustainable social action and making goodness a living tradition in society.
LPPOM continues to be committed to providing many benefits to the community. One of the ongoing programs is the Syawal Festival. This program focuses on facilitating halal certification for micro and small business actors (UMK) as a form of LPPOM’s commitment to continue to support the government in increasing the number of halal product production in Indonesia, which is expected to be able to compete in the global arena.
This year, the Syawal Festival, with the theme “Strengthening Halal from Upstream through Halal Meat Grinding”, is filled with various activities. Starting from facilitating free halal certification for meat grinding and halal socialization and education throughout Indonesia. Hopefully, this spirit will continue to bring goodness to the Indonesian people. (VIVI / YN)
