Halal certification procedure

Consuming halal products is an obligation for Muslims. Therefore, Muslims, especially in Indonesia, now tend to choose products that are clearly halal, namely by choosing products with the halal logo. The product’s halal logo is obtained after the manufacturer undergoes a halal certification process.

In connection with the enactment of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee, certain products marketed in Indonesia must have a halal certificate. Therefore, LPPOM MUI supports the Indonesian government’s policy by providing halal inspection services for products marketed in Indonesia in addition to providing halal certification services for products marketed outside Indonesia.
