The government continues to encourage collaboration with the “Muslim-friendly hospitality” philosophy. This was conveyed by the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, at the 2023 LPPOM MUI Halal Award, which took place on September 4, 2023, at the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor.
“Congratulations to business partners for participating in the 2023 LPPOM MUI Halal Award. With this program, it is hoped that it can motivate LPPOM MUI partner companies to implement an optimal Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) and improve their image among consumers. So, halal products can improve themselves to compete in national and international markets,” explained Sandiaga.
He appreciated the Halal Award activities carried out by LPPOM MUI since they were considered capable of contributing to efforts to increase industry understanding and capability in providing tourist experiences that match the needs of Muslim-friendly tourism.
“Hopefully, the 2023 LPPOM MUI Halal Award can provide new benefits and innovations in developing Muslim-friendly tourism,” said Sandiaga.
