PT Waroeng Steak Indonesia or Waroeng Steak & Shake has officially received a Halal Certificate for all products and restaurant facilities from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH). Previously, this company received an MUI Halal Provision with lppom number – 00160143970322 which is valid until April 12, 2026.
The HALAL PROVISIONS of MUI were submitted by the President Director of LPPOM MUI, Ir. Muti Arintawati, M.Si to the President Director of PT Waroeng Steak Indonesia, Riyanto on June 7, 2022 at the Grand Savero Hotel, Bogor. Meanwhile, the Halal Certificate was handed over by the Head of BPJPH, Dr. Muhammad Aqil Irham, M.Si to the Halal Management Coordinator of PT Waroeng Steak Indonesia, Heri Iswanto.
"Waroeng Steak & Shake has gone through a series of inspection and testing processes to prove that it meets the halal criteria. The halal criteria include materials, processes and handling of products, production facilities, presentation, internal halal audits, to management reviews to ensure halalness and quality of the products produced. We hope that Waroeng Steak & Shake can be consistent in maintaining and producing halal and thayyib products," said Muti Arintawati.
As one of the steakhouses, Waroeng Steak & Shake, which was first presented in 2000, received its first Halal Certificate in 2009. Since then, Waroeng Steak & Shake has always extended the Halal Certificate every 2 (two) years at the Provincial LPPOM MUI, in accordance with applicable regulations.
In 2022, Waroeng Steak & Shake has completed the migration process of halal certification nationally at the Central MUI LPPOM and received MUI Halal Provisions and Halal Certificates from BPJPH. In the implementation of the Halal Guarantee System, Waroeng Steak & Shake gets an A or Excellent grade from LPPOM MUI. In accordance with the provisions of the current regulation, the validity period of the halal certificate is 4 years.
"The provision of this halal certificate is a manifestation of PT Waroeng Steak Indonesia's commitment and consistency for customers in providing halal guarantees for every raw material used, the production process to the products presented and is part of the implementation of the objectives of Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantees," explained Muhammad Aqil Irham.
Meanwhile, Heri Iswanto said that providing a sense of security and comfort to customers when eating at Waroeng Steak & Shake outlets, including when consuming products, consumers will get assurances that the products we sell and serve halal and thayyib are very important things.
"We support the implementation of strict SOPs regarding halal standards, safety standards, and product quality. This achievement is certainly not the end of the halal certification process, but it is the beginning that we must account for together, maintain, and continue to improve the commitment, consistency in all parts to maintain the halalness of the product on an ongoing basis," said Heri Iswanto.
Now, Waroeng Steak & Shake has 97 outlets spread across 13 provinces and 27 cities in Indonesia. It is expected that this number will continue to grow along with the pocketing of the MUI Halal Certificate. (***)
