Concern for the poor is a must that must be carried out by every human being, both personally and in groups. This is nothing but a form of gratitude for the favors and gifts that have been given by Allah Swt.
As a form of community service, LPPOM MUI together with halal-certified companies again held the annual routine agenda of the 2019 Gerakan Peduli Dhuafa (GPD). This event is held throughout the month of Ramadan 1440 H.
In this event, as many as 61 companies participated in the success of the event. The assistance provided is in the form of consumer products that have been certified halal, such as instant noodles, milk, cakes, oil, bread, rice, syrup, and so on. In addition to products, the company also makes donations in the form of money and clothing.
Donations from the company this year reached 1,496 packages of product parcels and money worth Rp. 177,615,500,- which has been distributed and given to the poor individually and in groups and to Islamic educational institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools, orphanages located in the city and regency of Bogor, and other areas. While other distribution areas include the city and regency of Bogor and its surroundings (Jasinga, Leuwiliang, Ciampea, Megamendung, Citeureup, Gunung Putri, etc.); Depok and Jakarta include Condet, Duren Sawit, Kalibata, as well as other areas in West Java (Bekasi, Sukabumi, Ciamis, Sumedang, to Cirebon).
Through this opportunity, all leaders and administrators of LPPOM MUI expressed their deepest gratitude and gave high appreciation for the concern of the company, institutions, and individuals who have participated in this GPD program.
