General Provisions
In this fatwa, what is meant by the
COVID-19 Vaccine is the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Sinovac Life Sciences Co Ltd.China and PT Bio Farma (Persero) with three registered product names, namely (1) CoronaVac, (2) COVID-19 vaccine, (3) Vac2Bio.
The legal provisions for the
- COVID-19 vaccine produced by Sinovac Life Sciences Co Ltd.China and PT Bio Farma (Persero) are holy and halal.
- The COVID-19 vaccine produced by Sinovac Life Sciences Co. Ltd China and PT Bio Farma (Persero) as referred to number 1 may be used for Muslims as long as their safety is guaranteed according to a credible and competent expert.
The Closing Provisions for
- This Fatwa shall come into effect on the date of stipulation, provided that if there is an error in the future, it shall be corrected and refined accordingly.
- So that every Muslim and those in need are able to know about it, we urge all parties to disseminate this fatwa.
