Last November, the People’s Cafe obtained a BPJPH halal certificate through a quick and easy inspection by LPH LPPOM. This step was taken to provide consumers with comfort and confidence in enjoying dishes at The People’s Cafe.
PT Kitchenette Lestari has officially obtained a halal certificate for all 40 outlets in Indonesia with certificate number ID00410020852930724 issued on November 7, 2024, from the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH). The Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs and Cosmetics (LPPOM) was chosen as the Halal Inspection Body (LPH,) which is trusted to handle the entire halal inspection process for Indonesian dishes from The People’s Cafe quickly and easily.
The symbolic handover of the halal logo was carried out by Haikal Hassan as Head of BPJPH, to the President Director of Ismaya Group, Cendyarani and also attended by the Director of Strategy and Operations of LPPOM, Sumunar Jati. The event was held on January 9, 2025, at The People’s Cafe Outlet, Grand Indonesia Mall, Central Jakarta.
Haikal Hassan said that halal certification is very important to assure consumers that the products consumed are safe, healthy and in accordance with Islamic law, so that they can provide peace of mind and guarantee consumer needs and satisfaction.
“This halal certificate plays a big role in building trust, especially for Muslim consumers. We, BPJPH, appreciate The People’s Cafe’s commitment to meeting current standards and regulations. The halal certification obtained also ensures that The People’s Cafe not only complies with the standards set, but also shows dedication to the culinary world,” said Haikal.
The Director of Strategy and Operations of LPPOM, Sumunar Jati, appreciated the commitment and efforts of The People’s Cafe to fulfil the mandatory halal regulations in Indonesia by obtaining a halal certificate. This is certainly realized with commitment and hard work so that in the future, the consistency of the halal product can be maintained in accordance with the standards that have been applied.
“Halal certificates have now become a global market need, even when many people realize that it is not only Muslims who need halal certificates. Hopefully in the future with this halal certificate, The People’s Cafe will continue to grow and expand its market to the global market,” said Jati.
