LPH LPPOM confirms that all Ajinomoto products distributed in Indonesia have received halal certification from the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH).
In response to a video circulating on the social media account @kuliner1menit_ showing the use of a seasoning labeled “Pork Savor” from the Ajinomoto brand, LPH LPPOM issued an official clarification to clarify the information and provide clarification to the public.
LPH LPPOM confirms that all seasoning products officially produced and distributed by PT Ajinomoto Indonesia have received halal certification issued by the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) after undergoing an audit of the LPH LPPOM’s halal product assurance system.
The products labeled “Pork Savor” that appeared in the video are not produced or distributed by PT Ajinomoto Indonesia, but rather are imported products and are not included in the list of halal-certified products in Indonesia. The public is advised to always check for the official halal logo on product packaging before purchasing or consuming it.
LPH LPPOM emphasizes that differences in product variants between countries are normal, as each country has its own unique regulations and raw materials. To avoid misunderstandings, the public is advised not to equate imported products with official products sold in Indonesia, even if they use the same brand.
As a form of public transparency, a list of halal-certified products from PT Ajinomoto Indonesia and other manufacturers can be accessed through the “Search for Halal Products” feature on the official website www.halalmui.org or on the website of the BPJPH Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
