30th National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQN) in 2024 take place in East Kalimantan Province on 6th-16th September 2024. As a host of the program, the East Kalimantan Province Government will prepare a various event to enliven the National MTQ, one of which is the MTQ Halal Food Expo Exhibition at Convention Hall Gelora Kadrie Oening, Samarinda City. LPPOM also livens up the program by offering easy halal certification that is fast and affordable. This program will be attended by business people and MTQ National XXX visitor consultants.
In order to succeed in the MTQN XXX program, The Assessment Institute of Foods, Drugs, and Cosmetics East Kalimantan Province (LPPOM East Kalimantan) attended the Halal Food Expo some time ago to socialize the halal certificate in Indonesia. This matter is a form of supporting the government’s effort to realize the October Must-Halal 2024.
LPPOM appealed to businesspeople to look after the halal certification immediately. Based on the regulation Constitution Number 33 Year 2014 about the Law on Halal Product Assurance (UU JPH) and its derivatives, halal certification obligations are arranged step by step. Quoad the first phasing period for halal certificate obligations will end on October 17th, 2024.
Based on JPH’s regulation, three group products must be halal-certified along the first phase ends—first, food and beverage products. Second are raw materials, additional food, and auxiliary materials for food and beverage products. The third one is slaughtered products and slaughtering services.
For now, LPPOM keeps pushing the government effort to realize the must-be-halal in every way, starting with education for businesspeople and several programs to make it easier for businesspeople to obtain halal certification, including providing accessible halal certification facilities.
In addition, Region Secretary East Kalimantan Sri Wahyuni ensures that East Kalimantan will host a spectacular and enlivening Qur’an Festival. Apart from competitions which are the main agenda for MTQ, other exciting activities are ready to enliven the 2024 MTQN XXX event.
“Apart from the Halal Food Expo that serves halal food products and socializes the way to submit the halal certification, we also enrich the MTQ program with an event that goes aside with the National MTQ 2024. Some events, such as the National MTQ 2024 Exhibition, will be filled with tenants from over Qur’an Tilawatil Development Institute (LPTQ) throughout Indonesia.” Said Sri.
A woman who is also a Chairman of the MTQN XXX committee emphasizes through the Ministry of Religion the implementation of National MTQ 2024 in East Kalimantan, Inter-national cultural activities will also be held by presenting participants from Sarawak, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam.
“Cooperating with the Jakarta Islamic Development Center will also attend 150 artists from 50 countries showing the Kaligrafi artwork in the International Kaligrafi Exhibition. This Kaligrafi is wonderful; we can see it through the Al-Qur’an ayah with the touch of art. Each country has its own characteristics,” said Sri.
