In several reports, we received information that parties contacted business actors in the province by asking for money for halal certification purposes in the name of the Halal Inspection Body (LPH) LPPOM or LPPOM MUI.
This action shows that the misuse of the name of LPPOM West Kalimantan by irresponsible parties has reached a wider area, thus causing potential losses for the community and the business world. Responding to this, LPPOM needs to provide the following explanation:
1. As of February 26, 2025, fraud has spread to two provinces, namely West Kalimantan and the Riau Islands.
2. LPPOM West Kalimantan confirms that official communication from LPPOM West Kalimantan has never been made via the number 0812-2882-4749 and has never used the name of the Director of LPPOM West Kalimantan, Dr. M. Agus Wibowo, M.Si. in every message or instruction.
3. LPPOM Riau Islands confirms that official communication from LPPOM Riau has never been done through the number 0812-2006-9899 and has never used the name of the Director of LPPOM Riau Islands, Khairuddin Nasution, S.E. in any message or instruction.
4. The information circulating regarding the messages sent from the two numbers is an act of fraud that has no affiliation with LPH LPPOM.
5. All official communication is only done through established channels. We strongly urge the public to be careful and always ensure the authenticity of the information by contacting our official contacts.
