LPPOM Connect 2026: Refleksi dan Penguatan Kinerja LPPOM dalam Menjaga Amanah Halal

LPPOM Connect 2026 provides a platform for reflection and strengthening LPPOM’s performance in maintaining the halal trust amidst the ever-evolving industry dynamics, while simultaneously aligning steps to provide halal assurance with integrity and trust in the community.

Amid the dynamics of change and ever-evolving challenges, LPPOM continues its journey with one primary focus: maintaining the community’s trust in halal. This journey is not always easy, but it provides a space for reflection and strengthening organizational performance to ensure the quality and public trust in halal assurance are maintained.

With the theme “Igniting Hope, Reinforcing Quality, Aligning Collaboration,” LPPOM Connect 2026, held on January 19, 2026, at the Bigland Hotel in Bogor, served as a crucial opportunity to pause, review the steps taken, and align our future direction through collective reflection and strengthened collaboration to strengthen LPPOM’s strategic role in the future.

More than just a routine event, LPPOM Connect 2026 was intended as a space to reaffirm our shared commitment. Amid increasingly complex work demands, this forum served as a reminder that LPPOM’s performance is built through collaboration, connected values, and an awareness of the mandate entrusted to them. No single individual determines LPPOM’s future; rather, it is all those who continue to work together to maintain halal quality and integrity.

In her remarks, LPPOM President Director Muti Arintawati reflected on the organisation’s journey, marked by both challenges and blessings. She emphasized that LPPOM has faced numerous obstacles, but has also experienced the blessings of every endeavor.

All of these efforts, she said, are aimed at the common good, particularly ensuring that the public can consume halal products with peace of mind and confidence. This reflection is a crucial part of strengthening LPPOM’s performance to maintain its relevance and credibility.

As the halal industry develops and regulations evolve, the challenges faced are increasingly complex. Muti highlighted the importance of maintaining halal substance amidst these dynamics. LPPOM believes that every halal product in circulation must fully comply with halal principles, not merely meet administrative requirements. This affirmation reflects LPPOM’s performance direction, which goes beyond procedures but is oriented toward genuine halal assurance.

“What’s more important is how the halal certification process can provide genuine halal assurance, and how business actors can maintain the halal status of their products and be accountable to consumers,” Muti said.

This view was reinforced by the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI), KH. M. Cholil Nafis, Ph.D., explained that the halal issue has now expanded beyond the purely religious realm. Halal has become a social issue closely linked to public trust, industry transparency, and developments in food technology and other industrial products. In this context, halal certification must be interpreted as a moral and social responsibility. Education and cross-sector collaboration are key to strengthening the national halal ecosystem. He emphasized,

“Today, halal is not only a religious issue, but also a social issue concerning public trust and industry transparency. Halal certification should not stop at a regulatory document, but must be a guarantee that can be accounted for to consumers,” explained Kiai Cholil.

The reflective and spiritual value in strengthening organizational performance was further deepened through a sermon by the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI), Dr. H. Anwar Abbas, M.M., M.Ag. He emphasized that in modern organizations, the relationship between leaders and teams cannot be built through one-way instructions, but rather through a shared set of values and mutual understanding. The leader’s role is to maintain the vision, while the team ensures its effective implementation.

“Spirituality gives meaning to work, guides motivation, and serves as an inner resource for resilience in difficult situations. This aligns with the concept of amanah (trust) in halal work, where work is measured not only by output but also by accountability,” explained Buya Anwar. Through LPPOM Connect 2026, reflection and strengthening of LPPOM’s performance are woven into a spirit of togetherness. This forum emphasizes that maintaining the halal mandate is a collective responsibility that requires alignment of steps, integrity, and ongoing collaboration. With this foundation, LPPOM looks to 2026 with even greater confidence to continue serving as the guardian of the community’s trust and a vital pillar of Indonesia’s halal ecosystem. (ZUL)
