Responding to a growing issue among the society regarding the pork ingredient in some products, and as an update to the DN23/Dir/LPPOM MUI/XII/16 Notification Letter and DN32/Dir/LPPOM MUI/VIII/19 Letter of Notification, we hereby inform that:
1. Based on the results of the audit/material tracing, no pork content was found so that MUI issued a halal certificate/halal stipulation with the following details:
a. MSG SASA products from PT. Sasa Inti, with MUI Halal Decree number 00060007870398 valid until June 9, 2022.
b. Seasoned Flour SASA from PT. Sasa Inti, with MUI Halal Decree number 00060020020502 valid until 21 July 2022.
c. MASAKO products, MSG AJINOMOTO, SAJIKU Seasoning Flour and SAORI Oyster Sauce from PT. Ajinomoto Indonesia, with MUI Halal Decree number 00060008910908 valid until 23 July 2021.
d. INDOMIE Fried Instant Noodles from PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk., with MUI Halal Decree number 00090000300799 valid until November 12, 2021.
e. ROYCO products from PT. Unilever Indonesia Tbk., With MUI Halal Decree number 00060046730108 valid until April 7, 2022.
2. The information is said to come from the Wali Barokah Islamic Boarding School, Burengan, Kediri, East Java and is disseminated through social media on behalf of the MUI leader, KH. Muhyiddin Junaidi, MA is untrue and misleading.
3. KH. Muhyiddin Junaidi, MA as the leader of the MUI has provided a clarification and written statement on May 13, 2019 and confirmed that KH. Muhyiddin Junaidi, MA never posted or disseminated this information.
Furthermore, to ensure that the products are MUI Halal certified, we invite the consumers and public to check these products either through the website www.halalmui.org or the “Halal MUI” application on smartphones based on Android and iOS.
