Good news for contemporary beverage lovers. PT Esteh Indonesia Makmur obtained a halal certificate ID32110001350320223 on March 16, 2023. The halal logo was properly embedded on March 30, 2023, at the Esteh Indonesia Main Office, Jalan Achmad Adnawijaya, RT02/05, Kelurahan Tegal Gundil, Bogor Utara.
According to the Head of Halal Product Verification and Assessment, Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), Drs. H. Cecep Kosasih MM., beverage products are included in the products that must be halal certified according to Act No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Assurance Act (UU JPH).
“The tea drink has gone through a production process. That is where a halal certificate is required to confirm whether the process and ingredients are halal. Hopefully, Esteh Indonesia will be more advanced, and halal certificates can be an added value for Esteh Indonesia,” explained Cecep.
Halal Partnership and Audit Services Director of LPPOM MUI, Dr. Ir. Muslich, M.Si, stated that having a halal certificate is an achievement and proves that Esteh Indonesia can meet the criteria for halal certification and is a blessing for Esteh Indonesia. Esteh Indonesia has taken a big step, namely complying with halal certification regulations, which are provisions for advancing business.
“We are happy and proud to provide Halal certification to Esteh Indonesia. This shows that tea beverage products from Est Indonesia have met halal standards, guaranteeing consumers quality and safety,” said Muslich.
The CEO of Esteh Indonesia, Haidhar Wurjanto, said he was happy with awarding the halal certificate so that the quality of its products has been guaranteed for Esteh Indonesia. “We are very grateful for awarding this halal certificate and thank LPPOM MUI and BPJPH for recognizing our efforts in producing halal and quality tea beverages. Consumer comfort and a sense of security when consuming our products are important. Moreover, we have ensured that our products are halal,” said Haidhar.
He continued that halal certification is beneficial. The halal certification process for 1,050 Esteh Indonesia outlets was completed in less than three weeks or 21 days. Esteh Indonesia has also received the status of implementing the Halal Assurance System (HAS) with an A or excellent rating. This means that both materials, facilities, and team management procedures have met the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) criteria, which are the requirements for issuing a halal certificate.
Currently, Esteh Indonesia’s products can be ascertained as halal. You can check its validity via the website www.halalmui.org or the Halal MUI application, which can be downloaded on the Google Playstore. (ZUL)
