The Hitrust Verify Calibration Laboratory of PT Global Hitrust Corp (GHC) has officially been accredited with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by the National Accreditation Committee. This achievement reinforces LPPOM’s commitment to delivering calibration services that are accurate, reliable, and meet international standards.
LPPOM has once again reaffirmed its commitment to providing superior and trustworthy laboratory services. Through PT Global Hitrust Corp (GHC), the Hitrust Verify Calibration Laboratory has now officially obtained ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation from KAN. The accreditation certificate, numbered LK-520-IDN, was presented in a ceremony held on April 23, 2026, at the Global Halal Centre Building, Bogor, West Java.
This achievement is not merely an administrative formality, but a recognition of the laboratory’s technical competence and quality management system that meet international standards. ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is a global standard that serves as a benchmark for a laboratory’s capability to produce accurate, consistent, and accountable testing and calibration data. With this accreditation, the Hitrust Verify Calibration Laboratory further strengthens its position as a trusted partner for industries in ensuring the reliability of measurement results.
President Director of LPPOM, Muti Arintawati, in her remarks emphasized that this achievement is part of a broader vision to build integrated halal services from upstream to downstream. According to her, industry needs today are no longer partial, but demand comprehensive solutions capable of addressing the complexity of production processes and quality assurance simultaneously.
“PT Global Hitrust Corp has been developed as a one-stop service capable of delivering end-to-end services, from testing to certification. This is a strategic step to provide added value to customers while supporting the strengthening of an increasingly dynamic halal ecosystem,” she stated.
Furthermore, Muti explained that the establishment of PT Global Hitrust Corp is part of the institutional transformation of LPPOM’s laboratory services into a more adaptive, professional, and competitive entity. This transformation is carried out gradually, in line with regulatory adjustments, strengthening of operational systems, and enhancement of human resource capacity, while maintaining the principles of independence and credibility.
In its development, PT Global Hitrust Corp not only focuses on calibration services but also continues to develop technology-based innovations, including strengthening commercial material testing services. This initiative is expected to expand service coverage while increasing competitiveness at both national and global levels.
From a regulatory perspective, accreditation plays a strategic role in ensuring the quality and reliability of testing results. This was conveyed by the Deputy for Accreditation of the National Standardization Agency, Wahyu Purbowasito Setyo Waskito, who was also present at the event.
He emphasized that accreditation is not merely a symbol of recognition, but an important instrument in building the national quality infrastructure. “Accreditation provides assurance that conformity assessment bodies have met international standards, ensuring that testing and calibration results are reliable, protect the public, and support the smooth flow of international trade,” he explained.
He further added that Indonesia’s accreditation system, managed by KAN, refers to various international standards, including ISO/IEC 17025 for testing and calibration laboratories. This allows accredited laboratory results in Indonesia to be recognized globally and provides added value for industry players in entering international markets.
With this accreditation, the Hitrust Verify Calibration Laboratory is expected to make a tangible contribution in maintaining the accuracy and traceability of measurement results across various industrial sectors. Reliable measurement results are crucial, not only for maintaining product quality but also for ensuring compliance with standards, including the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and halal requirements.
This milestone also reinforces the growing role of PT Global Hitrust Corp as a strategic part of the LPPOM Group, not only as a laboratory service provider but also as an industry partner in building a credible, integrated, and sustainable quality assurance system.
Going forward, synergy with various stakeholders will continue to be strengthened to drive the growth of a highly competitive industry. Collaboration is key to ensuring that quality and halal standards go hand in hand, creating an ecosystem that not only complies with regulations but also meets global market expectations.
