As Eid al-Fitr 1447 H approaches, LPPOM distributed 1,100 basic food packages and cash assistance to orphans, the underprivileged, and dhuafa in Bogor. In addition, LPPOM installed a canopy at Jami’ Al-Hijri 1 Mosque in Bogor to improve the comfort of worshippers. This initiative reflects LPPOM’s commitment to continuously delivering benefits to the community.
Eid al-Fitr 1447 H is drawing near. At the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the spirit of togetherness and care for others becomes even stronger. This moment serves as a reminder that the joy of Eid is not only about celebrating the completion of a month of fasting, but also about sharing happiness with others.
This spirit is embodied by LPPOM through various social initiatives aimed at supporting those in need. Ahead of this year’s Eid celebration, LPPOM distributed 1,100 basic food packages along with cash assistance to orphans, the poor, and dhuafa across several areas, particularly in Bogor. The distribution was carried out in stages from March 5–13, 2026. This assistance is expected to help ease the community’s needs while bringing joy as they welcome the festive day.
Beyond providing essential goods, LPPOM also paid attention to improving community worship facilities. One such effort was the installation of a canopy at Jami’ Al-Hijri 1 Mosque in Bogor. The canopy is expected to enhance comfort for worshippers, both during prayers and while participating in various religious activities at the mosque.
The Vice President Corporate Secretary of LPPOM, Raafqi Ranasasmita, stated that this initiative is part of the organization’s commitment to delivering meaningful contributions to society.
“Ramadan always reminds us of the importance of compassion and togetherness. Through this initiative, LPPOM aims to share happiness with the community, especially those in need, so they can welcome Eid with greater peace and joy,” said Raafqi.
He added that LPPOM’s role extends beyond halal inspection services, encompassing a broader social responsibility to contribute to initiatives that bring value to society. Through various social programs, LPPOM seeks to ensure its presence is meaningfully felt by the wider community.
The warmth of this initiative was also felt directly by the team on the ground. Mohamad Nashih Ulwan, a representative of LPPOM involved in distributing the assistance, described the experience as deeply meaningful.
“This activity reflects LPPOM’s care for the community, especially orphans and families in need. We hope this assistance can help meet their needs and bring happiness as they welcome Eid al-Fitr,” he explained.
On the other hand, the assistance was warmly received with gratitude by the beneficiaries. One of them, Muhammad Faqih, manager of Darushsholihat Girls Orphanage, expressed appreciation for the support provided to the children.
“We hope this assistance can help meet the children’s needs and bring them happiness as they welcome Eid al-Fitr,” he said.
For the children receiving the aid, such attention brings its own joy. Azizah, one of the beneficiaries, shared her happiness upon receiving the food package.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very happy to receive this assistance. Thank you to LPPOM for sharing with us,” she said with a smile.
This initiative serves as a reminder that sharing does not always require grand gestures. Simple acts carried out with sincerity can have a profound impact on others. During Ramadan, values of empathy and compassion become even more meaningful as people come together to support one another.
With the spirit of sharing continuing to grow, it is hoped that more people will be inspired to make compassion a part of their daily lives. Ultimately, every sincere act of kindness will always find its way to bring benefit to others.
LPPOM remains committed to delivering programs that not only create social impact but also strengthen the halal ecosystem in Indonesia.
One of the ongoing programs is Festival Syawal 1447 H, which focuses on facilitating halal certification for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) as part of LPPOM’s support for government efforts to increase the number of halal-certified products in Indonesia.
This year, Festival Syawal carries the theme “Halal Raw Material Stores: The First Step Toward Resilient MSMEs.” The program includes various activities, ranging from free halal certification facilitation for raw material store businesses to halal awareness campaigns and education across different regions in Indonesia.
Through this program, LPPOM hopes more MSEs will be able to enhance the quality and competitiveness of their products. As the halal ecosystem continues to grow, Indonesian products are expected not only to compete in the domestic market but also to have greater opportunities in the global market.
Ultimately, through both social initiatives and economic empowerment programs, LPPOM aims to continuously provide tangible benefits to society. From small collective actions, meaningful changes can emerge, bringing goodness to many. (ZUL/ed. YN)
