Ada Sepatu Halal, Bocorocco Kantongi Sertifikat Halal

Are you worried that the shoe material you are using is not halal? If you say yes, you must try the Bocorocco shoe brand PT Chosen Mitra Abadi produced. By 15th August 2024, this brand had already received a BPJPH halal certificate with the code ID00410019288490824 through the Halal Inspection Body (LPH) The Assessment Institute of Foods, Drugs, and Cosmetics (LPPOM) fast and easy.

Officially, the Head of Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH), M. Aqil Irham, gave the halal certificate to the President Director of Bocorocco, Ferdyanto Tjen, on 17 August in the Bocorocco Entrepreneur Office, North Jakarta. This is also a celebration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia with nearly 200 Bocorocco Entrepreneur business partners.

Aqil explained that the government is obligating a must-halal certificate for all products that circulate in Indonesia. This is listed in Constitution Number 33 of 2014 about Halal Product Assurance (UU JPH) and its derivative. In the implementation, the government enforces the phasing period. For-use goods, such as shoes, have already entered the transition period since 17 October 2021 and must have a halal certification by 17 October 2026.

“We appreciate PT Chosen Mitra Abadi, who has completed the halal certification for the Bocorocco shoe. With this step, Bocorocco is far ahead of any other brand. Halal certification can increase the value and competitiveness, including export needs. Halal certificate expected to increase the sales of Bocorocco,” said Aqil.

In the same opportunity, Director of Partnership and Service Halal Audit LPPOM, Muslich, explains that during the process of testing the halal of the product, it is not only the ingredients that are checked. The company must also be capable of creating a management team to apply the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH). This team will be dedicated to ensuring the halal of the product from upstream to downstream so the certification goes fast and efficiently.

“One of that has been checked for the shoe’s product is the leather that is used. Additionally, SJPH implementation can be a guide for Bocorocco right now if then will produce a product or open a new factory,” Muslich explained.

Halal means purity. That means all the materials, processes, and production facilities needed to be ensured are pure according to Islamic principles. Therefore, many sectors, such as logistics services and retail stores, are involved in having a must-halal certification. “A shoes whose materials and the processes are pure, for a Muslim, there is no doubt in that. So it can be used comfortably and peacefully,” said Muslich.

Meanwhile, Ferdyanto understands that economic problems will be linked from upstream to downstream. This halal certification step includes the effort to open a new market, whether domestically or abroad, so it is hoped that this will open new economic taps for the Indonesian people.

“Halal certification increases our bargaining position for selling the products. Some consumers started to be critical in choosing shoes, including those related to halal, especially hajj and Umrah congregations. Our restlessness answered with the presence of a Bocorocco halal certificate. There is no more doubt for now,” he explained.

This is done through various efforts, starting with educating businesspeople and several programs to facilitate businesspeople’s fast and easy halal certification, including providing an accessible halal certification facility.
